Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for 31 batches of down garments that was produced and sold in Shanghai city and represented the main manufacturers of Shanghai. The inspection found a total of 2 batches of unqualified products, all were produced by Shanghai manufacturers.
This spot check was conducted according to the national mandatory standards GB 18401-2003/2010 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products", GB 5296.4-1998 "Instructions for Use of Products of consumer Interest - Instructions for Use of Textiles and Apparel" FZ/T 01053-2007" Textiles-Identification of fiber content", GB/T 14272-2002" Down Garments". The key items inspected on these products are fiber content for shell and lining, formaldehyde; pH value, down content, filling weight, filling power, oxygen number, turbidity test, odor, microbe, color fastness to washing, color fastness to rubbing, color fastness to water, azo dye and care instructions.
The main unqualified item was down content, and there were 2 batches in the inspection that failed this item with testing results didn’t match the product labels.
