Administration of Quality and Technology Supervision of Guangdong Province recently launched a special inspection of leather products produced and sold in Guangdong, the inspection result is listed as below:

This inspection reviewed 99 batches of products of 91 enterprises of from 9 regions of Guangdong, such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Jiangmen, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Dongguan and Shantou, and found all 81 batches were qualified, the qualified ratio was 81.8 percent.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards QB/T 1333-2004 "Handbag and knapsack" (produced before Mar. 31,2011), QB/T 1333-2010 "Handbag and knapsack" (produced after Apr.1,2011),  QB/T 1618-2006 "Leather belt", QB/T 1619-2006 "Wallet", QB/T 2155-2004 " Traveling case and trolley bag" (produced before Mar. 31,2011), QB/T 2155-2010 " Traveling case and trolley bag" (produced after Apr.1,2011),  GB 20400-2006 "Leather and fur - limit of harmful matter". The main unqualified test items were colour fastness to rubbing (10 batches), free formaldehyde content (5 batches), shock impact resistance  (4 batches) and seam strength (1 batch).
