The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision recently launched a special product quality supervision and inspection on 53 batches of shirts and blouses produced and sold in Shanghai. Of these inspected products, 46 batches were produced by enterprises based in Shanghai. No unqualified product was found in the inspection

This spot check was conducted according to the national mandatory standards GB 18401 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products", FZ/T 01053 "Textiles –Identification of fiber content", GB/T 2660 "Shirts and Blouses", and GB/T 18132 "Silk Garments". The main testing items inspected on these products were fiber content of shell and lining, formaldehyde content, pH value, color fastness to dry rubbing, color fastness to water, color fastness to perspiration, Azo dyestuff and needle detection.
