This spot check inspected 148 kinds of sportswear and knitting swimsuit products produced by 148 companies from 9 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong and Guangxi.

This spot check was conducted according to the standards GB 18401-2010 "National General Safety Technical Code for Textile Products". The key items inspected on these products are fiber content, formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuffs, colour fastness to water, colour fastness to perspiration, colour fastness to dry rubbing, colour fastness to washing, colour fastness to sea water and colour fastness to chlorinateel water.

The main unqualified items are fiber content (5 batches), colour fastness to perspiration (1 batch), pH value (1 batch).
