Textile Shoes
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision announced the results of its quality supervision and inspection on shoes with uppers made of textile materials in Shanghai on Sep. 26, 2012. This spot check inspected 50 batches of sample and 15 of them were found to be unqualified.

According to "GB 25038-2010 Rubber Shoes Healthy and Safe Specification", ”GB/T 15107-2005 Athletic Footwear”, “HG/T 2017-2000 Sport shoes”, ”HG/T 2018-2003 Casual Rubber Shoes”, “QB/T 2955-2008 Casual Shoes”, etc., items tested on the sample shoes included appearance, sole loading, shoe flexing, sole abrasion, sole bond (outsole and midsole), tensile strength of outsole, elongation at break of outsole, abrasion resistance, hardness of outsole, thickness of outsole, sole loading (foxing and upper), pH value, formaldehyde, extractable heavy metals(Pb, Cd, As), chlorophenol (TeCP, PCP), N- nitrosamine, colorfastness to rubbing and banned AZO dyestuff.

The main failed items were thickness of outsole, formaldehyde content, shoe flexing and colorfastness to rubbing.

Leather Shoes
The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision announced the results of its quality supervision and inspection over leather shoes in Shanghai. The spot check inspected 33 batches of samples and 5 of them were found to be unqualified.

According to ”QB/T 1002-2005 Leather Shoes” ”QB/T 2955-2008 Casual Shoes”, etc., items tested on the samples included appearance, shoe flexing, sole abrasion, sole loading, heel hardness, shank stiffness, shank hardness, heel attachment, colorfastness to rubbing and upper pull out strength.

The main failed items were shank hardness, shank stiffness and shoe flexing.
