Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision announced the results of its quality supervision and inspection for T-shirts in Shanghai. This spot check inspected 74 batches of sample, and 3 of them were found to be unqualified. In these 74 batches of sample, 56 batches were produced by local enterprise while 1 batch of them was found to be unqualified. 18 batches were produced by other provinces, and 2 batches of them were found to be unqualified.

This spot check was conducted according to "GB 18401-2003 National general safety technical code for textile products", "GB 18401-2010 National general safety technical code for textile products", ”GB 5296.4-1998 Instructions for use of products of consumer interest Instructions for use of textiles and apparel”, “GB/T 22849-2009 Knitted T-shirt”, “FZ/T 43015-2011 Silk knitting garments”, “FZ/T 73010-2008 Knitted Workmanship Sweater”, "FZ/T 73017-2008 Knitted Homewear", "FZ/T 73015-2009 Flax knitting goods", "FZ/T 73020-2004 Knitted sportswear" etc. The key items inspected on these products are care instruction, fiber content, formaldehyde content, pH value, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to water, banned AZO dyestuff, odour, colorfastness to wash, colorfastness to light-perspiration.

The main unqualified item was fiber content (3 batches).
