The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent non-for-profit organization working to drive greenhouse gas emissions reduction and sustainable water use by business and cities. CDP will send a questionnaire to suppliers in China each year and gather information which will provide valuable insight into their greenhouse gas emissions and climate change strategies. The supply chain disclosure information such as Carbon Footprint is used by over 50 of the largest organizations worldwide such as Walmart, PepsiCo, Dell, L’Oreal that is to better understand how suppliers are addressing climate change and working to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. This helps companies to extend their own carbon disclosure into their supply chain. However, certain Chinese suppliers may not know how to fill in this questionnaire and show their supply chain disclosure information to their buyers that can increase high opportunities to their business.
