Headquartered in the U.S., Target now is the second largest retailers in the U.S., and owns the most fashionable “high-end” discount stores of the U.S., and runs 1,500 stores in 47 states in the U.S., 182 super stores in 21 states, and also opened stores in Canada in 2013. At the same time, it has also established trendy and convenient online E-mall Target.com. Target has always been exquisite in product quality, and the Target’s suppliers shall ensure that the products they produce meet Target’s quality and safety requirements.

As Target designated and qualified third party testing laboratory, Intertek Group has been accredited by Target to conduct testing on its jewellery, toys, textiles and seasonal products etc. since 2009.

At the end of 2013, Intertek obtained more testing protocols on electrical and electronic products including seasonal products, battery powered products, solar lights, portable lamps, lampshades, fixed lights, night lights, furniture lights and other products (electrical glue guns and smoke sprayers).

For many years, Intertek laboratories in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou have been providing professional and timely safety certification and performance testing services for many world leading retailers. The certification services cover: ETL, GS, CB/S, CE, FCC, EMC/EMF and GMAP etc. The testing services cover: performance testing, safety testing, reliability testing and failure analysis, chemical testing, structural inspection, and testing schemes tailored to the customers’ needs.
