Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide, recently worked with Hengdian Group Tospo Lighting Co., Ltd. (hereinafter as Tospo Lighting) to complete the Brazilian Standards and Conformity Assessment as required by DCONF for their LED lamps. Tospo Lighting has been focused on the Brazilian market for a long time. Intertek has strong technical expertise and extensive experience in lighting testing and certification and with insights into the DCONF standards and certification, will  support Tospo Lighting to address the new requirements and complete the compulsory certification.

The Intertek lighting laboratory in Shanghai has been accredited by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) to carry out testing for LED lamps according to DCONF standards to 144/2015, 143/2015 and 389/2014, and is now able to provide local testing services including safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and energy efficiency testing. Customers will experience faster turnaround for certification, saving time and cost for sending samples overseas, opening a fast track for China’s LED lighting products to enter the Brazilan market.

In Brazil, Intertek has been accredited by CGCRE (General Coordination of Accreditation of the Inmetro) as a certification body (OCP 0090) and is a member of ABRAC (Brazilian Association of Conformity Assessment) Committee. Intertek Brazil can issue certificates for compulsory certification programs managed by DCONF for products including household electrical appliances (Ordinance 371), IT products (Ordinance 170), medical products (Ordinance 350), fans (table/wall/pedestal) and air circulators (Ordinance 20) and etc. As the first certification body accredited by CGCRE for LED lamps (Ordinance 144 and 389), Intertek provides a wider range of Brazil certification solutions for Chinese lighting companies.
